2. Service Overview

Planning Pal is a UK-based web platform providing instant, AI-powered guidance and information about planning permission and related property development matters. Our Service delivers analysis, advice, and mapping by leveraging official planning data sources, geospatial boundaries, and proprietary AI algorithms to help users navigate the UK planning system efficiently.

3. Eligibility

There is no minimum age to use our Service, but users under 18 are advised to do so with adult supervision, especially when engaging in property development or financial decisions.

4. Account Registration

Certain features require registration and/or a paid subscription.

  • You must provide accurate, complete information at sign-up.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must not allow anyone else to access your account or impersonate another person.

5. User Types

Planning Pal offers:

  • Public access: limited features, no registration required.
  • Registered users: free account with additional features.
  • Paid subscribers: enhanced AI features, live support, alerts, and advanced data layers.
  • Administrators: internal use only.

6. Main Features

  • Search and view UK planning applications by postcode, administrative area, or boundary.
  • Interactive mapping of administrative, parish, and designated area boundaries (Green Belt, SSSI, AONB, Conservation Area, National Park, etc.).
  • Real-time AI-powered planning analysis and application summaries.
  • User accounts, subscriptions, alerts, and saved searches.
  • Email and AI-based live chat support (for paid users).
  • Seamless integration with secure payment providers for subscriptions.

7. Data Sources & API Usage

Our Service compiles information from authoritative UK public data sources and APIs, including but not limited to local planning authorities, Ordnance Survey, and official government datasets. We combine these with proprietary AI and mapping technology to deliver a unified experience.

Some data may be subject to licensing or usage restrictions imposed by the source providers.

We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of third-party or public datasets and disclaim liability for decisions made on such information.

8. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation

  • Subscription Plans: Details and pricing are listed on our Pricing page.
  • Payment: Processed securely via third-party payment providers (e.g. Stripe).
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time after the initial billing cycle. Access to paid features will continue until the end of your current paid period.
  • Refunds: Except where required by law, subscriptions are non-refundable.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.

Our Service does not currently permit users to submit or post content publicly. If this changes, additional rules and moderation processes will be published.
